This year, the Mediterranean University Center (CUM) is celebrating its 80th anniversary. On this occasion, the Passion Méditerranée Conference will be entirely dedicated to the C.U.M., which has welcomed and continues to host the brightest minds of our time.
During two days – November 29th and 30th, 2013 – conferences and round tables are organized concerning the history of this prestigious institution, unique in its kind, Paul Valéry, the Mediterranean, and literature.
This conference will be inaugurated by Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, on Friday, November 29th, at 10:30 AM.

The year 1933 is decisive for the C.U.M. It marks its political and administrative creation with the combined action of two men: the mayor of Nice, Jean Médecin, and the Minister of National Education, Anatole de Monzie.
