On November 2nd, the day following All Saints’ Day, Christians celebrate the Day of the Dead or the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed. The early Christians from antiquity already practiced the vigil of the dead, similar to the Jewish tradition.

On this occasion, numerous official ceremonies are organized in memory of those who died for France by the Souvenir Français* and the Nice municipality.

Wednesday, November 2 at 10:30 AM, Mass at the Church of the Vow in Nice; at 3:00 PM Pilgrimage to the Military Squares of the Caucade Cemetery (main entrance, Boulevard du Souvenir Français, opposite Place Flo Bravi).

Friday, November 4 at 3:30 PM: Tribute to Muslim Soldiers – Lecuyer Garden, Avenue Emile Ripert in Ariane; at 5:15 PM Great Synagogue – 7, Rue Gustave Deloye.

Sunday, November 6 at 10:15 AM United Protestant Church of Nice – Holy Spirit – 21, Boulevard Victor Hugo.
