On Friday, May 17th, the signing of the agreement between the Departmental Council and the Croix-Rouge Compรฉtence training center took place in favor of medico-social action.
Yesterday morning, Eric Ciotti came to visit the Croix-Rouge Compรฉtence training center. This visit allowed the deputy to realize the shortcomings and needs of this establishment. The signing of this new [agreement](https://www.nicepremium.fr/actualite/le-departement-renouvelle-la-convention-avec-le-bapu/) is therefore aimed at promoting professions in the medico-social sector, particularly those of nurses, nursing assistants, and healthcare supervisors.
Following this momentum, Croix-Rouge Compรฉtence is committed to introducing its students to the Department’s medico-social structures and encouraging students to complete their internships in rural areas. This is directly linked to the Medical Desertification Combat Plan supported by the community. As for the Departmental Council, it will facilitate the welcoming of interns from this training center into its medico-social structures.
>”These are professions our department needs,โ Eric Ciotti on the subject of medical professions
This agreement, which will end on August 31, 2026, will affect 9 structures of the Red Cross. There will be medico-educational institutes, Special Education and Home Care Services, reception centers, EHPAD (nursing homes), as well as training institutes for healthcare supervisors, nurses, and social workers.
This agreement will thus allow a real improvement in training for these medical professions that the region urgently needs at the moment. The director of the establishment, Sandrine Buston, stated regarding this partnership, “Given the convergence of our skills, it seemed appropriate for us to unite our actions to multiply their reach.”
