The Frankie association has been helping sick and disadvantaged children in the PACA region for ten years now. Throughout the year, their activities are conducted in hospitals, but also through outings with the children. The most anticipated moment is “Frankie’s Christmas” which takes place in Monaco. Clown Frankie then invites 2000 children to spend Christmas with family. Thanks to Elisabeth Wessel, all proceeds from the sale of her creations will be donated to the association.
Back to the fashion show for more details. A relaxed atmosphere, recorded bird songs, a dazzling natural setting, a long red carpet along the steps at the foot of the Sauber Museum in Monaco, the setting is as warm as the reason why people came that night: to participate in the realization of Yulia’s dream, a blind little girl and a virtuoso pianist. She will receive a piano and continue to take lessons in a specialized institution.
Elisabeth also pays tribute to the person who taught her everything at the start of her career: Rose Torrente. The show begins with electronic music mixed by S.E.S. The young models step lightly on the red carpet and remarkably wear this new collection. Indeed, the “Cobra” outfit, a small crossed jacket designed with croco and its matching reptile pants, is very popular. Just like the “Flamme” suit. The outfits are all different and mix both dry fabrics like tweed and velvet, and pieces of silk or thousands of embroideries and lamé fabrics.
The fashion show is fleeting but the exhibition of moments from the life of “Maison Torrente” is presented at the National Museum of Monaco until September 24th. Photos, “Haute Couture” dresses, a private doll collection, and more are available to the public; a real feast for the eyes.
