Yesterday, the members of the “Discovery & Sharing” association inaugurated the Citizen Garden of the Moulins, in the presence of Dominique Estrosi Sassone, Senator of the Alpes-Maritimes, Councillor of the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis, municipal Councillor of the City of Nice, and Administrator of Cรดte d’Azur Habitat.
As part of the PRU of the Moulins, the social landlord Cรดte d’Azur Habitat has planned the creation of a development for the establishment of a shared garden at the foot of the building to improve the living environment of its residents and provide actions to promote better living together.
They have identified a 400m2 space to make it a pleasant and green area:
- by creating a well-maintained and friendly green space,
- by creating social connections among residents,
- by participating in changing perspectives towards ecology and sustainable development,
- by working towards the well-being of each and everyone through health prevention.
For the realization of this project, Cรดte d’Azur Habitat has provided 14 vegetable plots and 10 cultivation tables, carried out the fencing work of this area, and closed its access with a gate.
“The enhancement of residents’ skills through the exchange of knowledge. The guiding idea is that everyone can contribute to one another, we can learn at any age, and everyone is rich in their knowledge. The residents will contribute to the animation of this space with the help of the neighborhood partners and a ‘Garden’ facilitator who will know how to advise them on discovering the changes in the garden through the seasons,” declared Dominique Estrosi Sassone.
The Senator then visited “3, rue Trachel.” The reconquest and requalification of the city center illustrated by this operation involving the creation of 30 social housing units and 39 student housing units with the ground floor hosting the social center “la ruche” managed by the Semeuse.
“The requalification and urban renovation program is progressing and transforming the entire city center, whether in terms of housing, equipment and public spaces, and the revitalization of the commercial fabric,” added Ms. Estrosi Sassone.
