After presenting a first exhibition dedicated to Jackie Kennedy in March and April 2016, the Galerie Ferrero honors another iconic woman from the 1950s-1960s, the actress Grace Kelly who became Princess of Monaco exactly 60 years ago.
Through a hundred original “vintage” photographs, mostly from press photographers, the exhibition traces the early years of Grace Kelly in Monaco, from the actress’s first meeting with Prince Rainier in 1955โimmortalized by the Irish photographer Edward Quinnโup to 1969, a symbolic year marking the end of two decades of a golden era on the Riviera and featuring the princess reaching her forties.
The transformation of Grace Kelly is then complete: from American star, she would exclusively become the most admired European princess of the 20th century. She managed not only to earn recognition from the Gotha as one of its most illustrious members but also to touch the hearts of people, not only in Monaco but around the world.
