From June 12 to October 4, “Nice 2015. Promenade(S) des Anglais,” effectively represented the program of major cultural events in Nice by offering 14 exhibitions across 10 museums and galleries and 3 national institutions.

This initiative aimed to follow in the footsteps of the previous one in 2013, “Nice 2013. A Summer for Matisse,” a program of 8 exhibitions that was a great success.

Jean-Jacques Aillagon, who was the General Commissioner for both, thus confirmed Nice’s ability to produce exhibitions of national caliber.

These 14 exhibitions, which allowed visitors to appreciate the “outstanding universal value” of the Promenade des Anglais and its tremendous resonance on the artists’ imagination, attracted 260,000 visitors, confirming the national and international public’s interest in this unique heritage.

Additionally, the exhibitions generated over 878,000 euros in ticket sales revenue.
