Latest News

Until November 8, the National Sports Museum is showcasing some of the most beautiful sports photographs, in partnership with the Paris SportPhoto festival.

On an area of over 500 square meters, the National Sports Museum highlights a hundred photographic masterpieces, created by the best reporters specialized in sports photography.

The images selected for this exhibition illustrate the excellence of their work, their unique talent in capturing the decisive moment, both rich in intensity and emotion.

This exhibition is held in partnership with the Paris SportPhoto festival, whose first edition organized at the Carreau du Temple in Paris, in November 2019, was a great success. It replaces the Media & Sport exhibition, initially scheduled for this summer, but postponed to December 10 due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Photographs from around the world

The photos presented were taken by photographers from 30 different countries, who participated in the professional competition launched by Paris SportPhoto in 2019, across six different categories.

Action photography: an action at its peak, the intensity of a sports moment.

Reportage photography: a long-term work on topics such as sports and society, economy, doping, the place of women, children, cultural traditions.

Unusual photography: illustrates an incongruous, offbeat, surprising, or humorous aspect of the shot.

Portrait: close-ups of faces captured during a sporting event, in full effort, or intimate portraits. The expressive aspect of the face is emphasized.

Extreme sports photography: high-risk and outdoor sports.
