This festival, a symbol of the summer solstice, was once organized around a fire to encourage marriages. According to legend, young girls would rush to the Saint-Jean fires because, as the saying goes, if they danced around nine bonfires, their weddings would be celebrated within the year.

From 6:30 PM: Face painting activities for children.
Food available on site.
Performances: from schools in Nice-West and the Plaine et Côteaux area – Choir “Blanche d’Or Nice Côte d’Azur” – Children’s theater play “The Pirate’s Fiancée” with the troupe “La Réserve” – Niçoise music and dances with Nice la Belle and Rauba Capeu.
Around 10:00 PM: Lighting of the Saint-Jean fire.
