They will set sail this Sunday in the early afternoon, departing from the port of Cannes to arrive in Calvi. After 10 days of sailing and stopovers, they will return to the Côte d’Azur on June 11th.
The firefighters from Cannes have taken the initiative to bring along a paraplegic person to introduce them to the joys of sailing and water activities.
Audrey Corso, a paraplegic volunteer firefighter at the Tarascon fire station, will be the first woman to enjoy these 10 days of travel with the 7 firefighters from Cannes who will accompany her on this beautiful adventure between the mainland and Corsica, in the open sea!
Aboard a catamaran specially chartered for the crossing, the disability fades away, and surrounded by experienced partners, Audrey will be able to safely discover aquatic and underwater activities, as well as sailing, handling sails, raising awareness about marine environment protection, and more.
