By signing an agreement with the State in favor of jobs for the future, Le Groupe La Poste has committed to recruiting 1,000 jobs for the future by the end of 2014. The PACA region is at the forefront of the initiative, with the recruitment of around one hundred young people, half of whom will be recruited as early as 2013.
Today, the first 13 “jobs for the future” at La Poste in the Alpes-Maritimes begin their degree-earning training as postal workers.
La Poste is fully committed to facilitating the integration of young people in difficulty and offering them real employment prospects. Indeed, this is a particular feature of the jobs for the future within La Poste: the company will offer a permanent contract (CDI) directly to each young person who completes the training, after 12 months in a temporary contract (CDD), provided they meet the criteria for the job for which they were trained.
The 13 apprentice postal workers recruited in jobs for the future will take an oath to uphold professional secrecy, the inviolability of correspondence, and the duty of honesty and integrity.
This solemn ceremony, which originated in 1790, is even more important for the postal worker, as the primary representative of La Poste through their social role and the close connection they embody.
The apprentices will be tasked with delivering mail and all the new local services provided by postal workers in the department.
