The General Assembly of the CDOS confirms the good health of sports in the Alpes-Maritimes.

The General Assembly of CDOS 06 was held in the presence of civil and sports authorities and more than a hundred people in attendance. 70% of departmental sports committees were represented.

President Philippe Manassero and his close collaborators (General Secretary Manel Dureuil and Treasurer Mrs. Dominique Peronnet) presented the 2018 activity report, the moral report, and the financial report which attests to a healthy management.

A “surprise” announcement was made: the acquisition of premises which will soon allow the CDOS to have a “home base.”

All deliberations were voted on unanimously.

The evening was also an opportunity for some reflections on the new organization and governance of French sport with the establishment of the National Sport Agency replacing the CNDS.

The Maralpine Olympic family is set to expand with two new departmental committees, PLUM and Retraite sportive.

The “decoration” segment was also rich and appreciated.

Four athletes, Brigitte Sarfati, Odile Diagana, Michèle Le Garrec, and Sonia Fuzia received the CDOS 06 recognition award.

Six ministerial medals for youth, sport, and community engagement were awarded to Carole Trunska, Michelle Le Garrec, Charline Gartner, Jean Michel Mailler, Alain Broche, Thierry Buchet.

In the end, a very positive general assembly that allowed President Philippe Manassero to express his pride in the dynamic of departmental sport, a vector of youth education, social cohesion, and excellence in results in national and international competitions.
