Manager Jérémy is the grandson of Victor and son of André Passeron; a family name well-known among the people of Nice! In the former Bonaparte City, post-war, Victor and his wife established their fruit and vegetable stall. André worked there, grew attached to it, and took over the business. Jérémy grew up around “bon vivants”: homemade cooking with fresh products, wines at the table, meals among producers in the backcountry of Nice, seasonal work with his father… Following a rich and revealing experience in high-end catering with a demanding clientele, he set out on his own by creating his own business with his identity!

How do you select your products?
“For fruits and vegetables, I go to the professional agro-food and horticultural market in Nice (M.I.N). I select the most beautiful products: taste, touch, scent… favoring local producers. Supporting our locals is essential to me. If some products don’t suit me, I choose producers from outside the region. For wines and gourmet groceries, being a true enthusiast, I start by sourcing and conducting tastings on-site. I want to offer the best for my client: my premium service involves high demands and quality, and consequently the price.”
What is your latest gourmet find in the store?
The exceptional jams of Christine Ferber: The Jam Fairy! I am one of the few in France able to sell them because the selection of merchants is difficult. Christine Ferber is internationally renowned; Ducasse and Hermé offer them in their establishments. She chooses her fruits from local farmers and cooks them in copper pans, thus preserving the texture and color of the fruits. She trusts us, and I am proud of it!”
What are your projects?
I want to stay on the same path: meeting the expectations of gourmets, discovering products that cannot be found elsewhere, and thus setting myself apart from a simple grocery store. Naturally curious and passionate about gastronomy, I am always on the lookout for novelty. And perhaps in the near future, open a second store in a neighboring city!”
