The Department of Alpes-Maritimes, at the forefront of major public health challenges and leading in the support of innovation and research, has been strongly committed for many years to a proactive health policy and has sought to implement a Mental Health Plan in its territory.
On May 26, 2012, the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes officially presented its Departmental Mental Health Plan. This initiative, the first of its kind in France, is designed to address, in a comprehensive and planned manner, a number of issues faced by patients and their caregivers, as well as professionals working in the field of mental health.
