After the tragic and untimely passing of its President, Pierluigi Fadda, the Circolo Italiano association continues to unite the Azurean Italian community through sports and cultural events in the region. This Saturday, the “Raffaello” restaurant will host a lunch preceding the rugby match between the Irish and Italians for the first day of the Six Nations Tournament 2008. Other gatherings are planned for the remaining tournament matches (Italy-England on 02/10, Wales-Italy on 02/23, France-Italy on March 9, and Italy-Scotland on 03/15).

A monthly evening event is also organized by the Circolo at the Park Inn hotel, led by Paola Valzoano, who is none other than the Vice President of the association. Other events scheduled in the coming weeks include literary meetings, film sessions, and musical encounters.

For more information on the activities of the Circolo Italiano, please contact the new President, unanimously appointed by all members: Renato Tullio Ferrari (06 71 91 49 93).
