A masterful parade this afternoon for Her Majesty. At 2:30 PM, the Carnival Parade will move before your astonished eyes between Place Massena and the avenues of the Phocéens and Verdun.

roi_carnaval_.jpg After a sporty Sunday with the Carnaval Run “Rock’n’roll 10 miles” on the Promenade des Anglais and for the bravest (or the least chilly) a Carnaval swim at Ruhl Plage, the festivities will pass before your eyes this Tuesday afternoon while you stay warm under your coats.

For nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes, the eighteen floats representing different countries from around the world will parade alongside numerous street art troupes and marching bands. On the public’s side, the atmosphere will be in full swing with confetti battles, costumes, carnival sprays… in short, the much-appreciated hullaballoo of the year.

On the Spider float designed by Cédric Pignataro (creator of many Carnival floats for over a decade), 50 seniors will parade during the Carnival parade. These seniors are associated with the 50 youths from the Montjoye association (which deals with education and rehabilitation of youths and adults for social integration or readaptation purposes).

These seniors, enrolled in the Nice Plus Senior card network, will present a choreography prepared with Marjory and Ysaline, two student choreographers. This part of the parade will be directed by the Municipal Counselor Jean-Michel Galy, delegated to senior citizenship.
