This evening was primarily an opportunity to thank the elected officials, partners, and volunteers.
“It is thanks to their commitment that we were able to carry out a large number of actions in 2018, both for the patients and in the events organized as part of the Centenary, as well as those we were invited to,” mentioned Professor Maurice Schneider, departmental president of the League Against Cancer.
During the assessment, he recalled that over 20,000 people came to participate in the events organized by the association.
To crown the ceremony, the League Against Cancer presented a check for 30,000 € to Professor Olivier Guérin’s team for the “CARELINE” program. This project, led by Dr. Rabia Boulahssass and Ms. Dominique Saja, is a personalized telephone follow-up offered to elderly individuals with cancer.
