At the Allianz Rivera Stadium on Monday, September 26, legends of football and rugby faced off in a unique match. A rather original concept consisting of pitting two sports against each other.
This exceptional match was divided into two distinct parts. First, the two teams competed in a football match. After halftime, the match resumed this time with rugby. It was an opportunity to see professional players practice another sport.
On the football side, we can mention big names such as Didier DESCHAMPS, Fabien BARTHEZ, and Éric CANTONA. And on the rugby side: Sébastien CHABAL, Frédéric MICHALAK, and Fabien PELOUS, among others.
It was also a charity match, initiated by Pascal OLMETA, for the association “A Smile, A Hope for Life.” This association helps children suffering from cancer or rare diseases. A wonderful opportunity for them to meet their sports idols. The association was created by Pascal OLMETA in 2006 to provide valuable support to these children and their families.
At the end of the first part, the team of football legends dominated with a score of 5 to 2. Eventually, they went on to win the match during the second part in rugby, with a total score of 31 to 17. A thrilling match that saw sports legends compete, in a celebration supporting the association “A Smile, A Hope for Life.”
