Every ten minutes in the world, someone dies from bacterial meningitis! Among the survivors of invasive meningococcal infections, 6% suffer from early and severe aftereffects.

To raise public awareness about meningococcal meningitis, especially its aftereffects, the Lenval Foundation is hosting an exhibition of 14 photographs by Anne Geddes in the Raoul Mille Library hall in Nice until December 11.

Teaching parents to react quickly and effectively to alarming symptoms and encouraging them to protect their children through vaccination is the purpose of the campaign “Protect Our Children, Protect Our Future.”

Organized by CoMO (Confederation of Meningitis Organisations, a UK-based organization bringing together associations worldwide fighting against meningitis), it has been relayed in France by the collective of associations “Together Against Meningitis” since 2014.

CoMO has commissioned Anne Geddes to create fifteen portraits of surviving children.

Anne Geddes, an internationally recognized photographer, creates iconic and award-winning photographs. Her work has been published in 83 countries, and her books have sold over 18 million copies worldwide.
