The news of 2015 brings back to the forefront of public debate one of the fundamental challenges that democracies must face: the management of security.
This issue arises with particular intensity in a context of the globalization of Islamist terrorism.
To contribute to the analysis of the situation that France is experiencing, the Ecole Du Journalisme de Nice is organizing a round table, with the following speakers:
• Pierre Barbancey, Senior reporter at L’Humanité and winner of the Bayeux Prize, on the geostrategic stakes of the conflicts in Iraq and Syria.
• Anne-Sophie Millet Devalle, Associate Professor (University of Nice Sophia Antipolis), on the political use of the notion of war and its implications in the public sphere.
• Patrick Amoyel, Psychoanalyst, director of Freudian research (University Nice Sophia-Antipolis), Vice President of the Mediterranean Society of Psychiatry, on the prevention of radicalization in the Alpes Maritimes.
The debate will be moderated by Pierre Dévoluy, journalist and senior reporter, and Yasmina Touaibia, Doctor of Political Science.
