jpg_image_los_van_van.jpg After experiencing the dictatorship under the Fulgencio Batista regime and the Cuban revolution that ended on January 1, 1959, the country needed musical notes. Ten years after the Cuban revolution, in 1969, the band Los Van Van was born. Founded by Juan Formell, the group Los Van Van performs modern music in its modernity. Rock, Brazilian, and African music, among others, contribute to their musical richness. All of this is blended by about fifteen musicians with flawless technique. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Cuban music, Los Van Van will be performing on the stage of the Lino Ventura Theatre in Nice on March 4 at 8:30 PM.

The band does not aim to be commercial like other bands. They have already toured the entire world. The Argentine press calls them the “Rolling Stones” of Cuban music. So don’t hesitate to come and have a great time in their company!
