On the upcoming September 17th, a concert will be held by the ensemble Café Zimmermann, a leading group in the Baroque concert scene in France and worldwide.
This event, organized by the association “Les Moments Musicaux des Alpes-Maritimes” for the benefit of the Fondation Lenval, will start at 7 PM in the Sainte Réparate Cathedral, which is celebrating its inaugural year (located in Old Nice, Place Rossetti).
The ensemble Café Zimmermann was created in 1999. Today, it is led by the harpsichordist Céline Frisch and the violinist Pablo Valetti, bringing together soloists dedicated to reviving the artistic inspiration fostered by Gottfried Zimmermann’s establishment in 18th century Leipzig.
Since 2014, Café Zimmermann has begun a residency at the Sainte Réparate Cathedral in Nice.
The association “Les Moments Musicaux des Alpes-Maritimes” was founded to share moments of musical excellence with a wide audience, conduct educational initiatives, and support charitable projects.
This cultural venture began on May 3rd last year during the inauguration of the cathedral’s restoration works.
This date marks the revival of significant cultural activity at the Cathedral of Nice with the aim of creating a “Sacred Music Season” in 2016.
