We learn with sadness of the passing of Jean-Claude Guibal, mayor of Menton, former deputy. Memories of a man I knew more than 20 years ago as a proactive mayor and parliamentarian, with a broad view on economic issues that fascinated him since HEC

I learn with deep sadness of the death of my friend Jean-Claude Guibal. His wisdom contributed greatly to the political life of our department. He fought one last exemplary battle for the Roya Valley after #TempeteAlex, for this territory he loved so much. pic.twitter.com/9KYOD9GmlT

The Alpes-Maritimes are in mourning
Jean-Claude Guibal was a dear friend, joining his wife Colette who passed a year ago almost to the day
He was an extraordinary intellect, a loyal man who transformed Menton while respecting its identity and history
