March 8th was International Women’s Rights Day, a celebration adopted by the United Nations in 1977. As every year, ten women from the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan area were honored for their civic work and their service to others.
Sports, transportation, cleaning, early childhood, and even the associative world: So many fields where women work every day for a public service ever more adapted to the needs of each individual.
They received the award from the hands of Christian Estrosi, candidate for the Nice municipal elections and outgoing president of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan area, who will probably regain the presidency if he is reelected mayor of Nice.
A President, quite happy to reward his agents as well as to remind many female voters of his good memory during the ceremony, while nevertheless observing a most institutional behavior.
Women, I love you…
