Closing of the Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival with the “Award Ceremony Gala” held at the Salle des Princes of the Grimaldi Forum.
During the Gala, prizes for the official selection were awarded by the jury, presided over by Gabriele Muccino, accompanied by American actor Robert Davi, Afghan director Barmark Akram, and French journalist Vincent Le Leurch.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Claude Brasseur, Claudia Cardinale, Dante Ferretti, Francesca Lo Schiavo, and Billy Zane.
Cristiana Capotondi and Madalina Ghenea received the ‘Monte-Carlo Film Festival Award 2016’.
The “Special Prize for Film Music” of the Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival was awarded to Andrea Bocelli and producer Tony Renis, who with the album “Cinema” are topping the charts worldwide.
The prize was awarded by the Artistic Committee of the 13th edition of the MCFFC.

Best Director: Anders Thomas Jensen (Men & Chicken) – Denmark

Best Actress: Mónika Balsai (Liza Fox-Fairy) – Hungary
Audience Award: The Legend of Barney Thompson (Robert Carlyle) – United Kingdom
Special Mention for Jean-Jacques Rausin for his performance in the film “Je me tue à le dire” – Belgium-France
