Supporting patients affected by cancer. That is the mission of the Mozart Institute inaugurated in mid-September. This place of support and exchange in the fight against cancer offers users a personalized pathway. The building has fourteen consultation rooms spread over four floors. About twenty professionals work there from Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 6 PM (8 PM on Thursdays). Numerous workshops tailored to each individual are offered.

The Mozart Institute, located at 17 Avenue Auber, is supported by the Antoine Lacassagne Center. Many patients from the center are redirected to this new structure.

“I am convinced of the relevance of this center”

After six weeks of activity, the president of the Departmental Council, Charles-Ange Ginésy, visited the institute. It was a check-in to make an initial assessment. “Since the opening, 122 people whose needs have been identified have been counted, more than 350 participations in individual or group workshops, and 406 appointments. I am convinced of the relevance of this center. It is a pride to see that the Alpes-Maritimes department is fully committed to the fight against cancer, and against medical deserts by offering an increasingly extensive range of care,” he adds.

This is a source of satisfaction for the Alpes-Maritimes department, whose healthcare offerings are expected to expand over the next ten years with the extension of CHU Pasteur 2, the modernization of L’Archet or the project to create a “mega hospital” on the Var plain.
