Proximity with citizens, listening, communication, responsiveness… these are the goals set by Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, and President of the Commission of Municipal Police of France, for the Municipal Police of the City of Nice.
The new Twitter account PMdeNice (@PMdeNice) meets this demand. Active since this morning and managed by the functional services of the Municipal Police, it is the first official account of a Municipal Police in France.
The aim is to present the daily but also exceptional activities of the Nice Municipal Police (arrests, inspections conducted, awareness campaigns), the figures and reports of actions carried out, to honor the different brigades, highlight the presence of officers in the field, inform the people of Nice in real time of possible incidents (traffic accidents, difficult circulation, bad weather conditions), etc…
In a concern for information and communication towards the people of Nice, the Mayor of Nice wished to launch this Twitter account, specifically for the Municipal Police of Nice, in order to further strengthen the proximity with the citizen.
This account is a direct link between the people of Nice and their Municipal Police. It contributes to the modernization and recognition of the action of the Nice Municipal Police, the first in France, and this in full transparency.
