The Anatole Jakovsky International Museum of Naïve Art is undergoing renovations to improve its accessibility. The work is scheduled for 2025.
As part of the Museum Plan voted in 2020 to revitalize the museum offerings, and following the first phase of work in 2021, a second phase will begin in June at the Anatole Jakovsky International Museum of Naïve Art.
Firstly, accessibility for people with reduced mobility will be enhanced with the installation of an elevator that will make all floors of the museum accessible. A staircase will also be relocated in the English courtyard adjacent to the activity rooms. The museum’s activity rooms, moreover, will also be renovated and rearranged.
The museum takes on a new dimension
The work will allow a new hanging of artworks in the permanent route and temporary exhibitions related to the year of the sea. Many artworks will also be restored.
During this work, the museum will offer ” Wandering Workshops ” during which the museum mediator will engage with the public in certain reception facilities: early childhood (nurseries), schools, libraries in the city of Nice, etc.
