Having just left the Solid Sound Studio at Victorine, Caligagan headed to the Azuréenne radio station to unveil his musical treasures to the listeners. This artist with diverse roots opened up during the “Azur Passion” show with Adrien Mangano at the microphone.

jpg_CIMG8782.jpg In his previous album “Seven Languages,” Anthony pleasantly takes us through his world of soul, funk, reggae, and pop with his guitar! Oops, with three guitars exactly: Anthony Caligagan’s guitar, Enrico Calandrelli’s guitar, and Leo Giannola’s guitar—“maestros” as Caligagan calls them.

In his new album produced by Gregory Darling, we find this trio of friends where the stringed instrument sends us a lot of love. “Let’s not forget, Marjorie Martinez on vocals and Sébastien Bouland on drums,” the singer-songwriter reminds us.

By the way, Anthony, when did you first encounter the guitar? “When I realized that I couldn’t play the violin and sing at the same time,” he answers with humor.

His song “Give” is broadcast on the air. Its message? “You have to give to receive.” This anthem of sharing will be released as a single in August. Meanwhile, Caligagan will introduce you to his intimate musical garden during concerts this summer. The dates? Shows are already scheduled for July 4th at 7 PM in St Blaise during the RHYTHM&IN BLAISE festival, and a second one on August 15th at 10:30 PM in Cannes after the fireworks display.

The twelve tracks of the album will be released in autumn.

An all-English album? “No, this time, there is one song in French. A sort of homage to the country that welcomed me. It’s a nod that sings ‘I love you a lot’,” replies Anthony Caligagan.
