For those who know Chris Cornell as the raging, raw voice of Soundgarden or Audioslave, the fact that this great rock singer chose one of the biggest producers, Timbaland, for his new album Scream may come as a surprise! The result is stunning: Cornell’s insidious melodies and biting words, his intense voice laden with emotion, all layered over expertly measured and irresistible samples and beats.

The first three tracks from the album: Scream, Ground Zero, and Watch Out are all seismic signals announcing a new start for the singer.
After being one of the pillars of the grunge scene with Soundgarden, Chris continues his solo career. “Can’t Change Me”, the first single from his debut album Euphoria Morning was nominated for a Grammy while a new version of his song Mission was featured in the opening credits of Mission: Impossible II.

In 2000, Cornell joined former Rage Against The Machine members (T. Morello, T. Commerford, and B. Wild) in the band Audioslave. Three albums were released including Out Of Exile, which was certified platinum in 2005.

In 2006, he became the first American singer to perform the theme song of a James Bond movie, “You Know My Name” in Casino Royale, which is the most successful installment of the 007 franchise to date.

Last summer, Cornell joined forces with Linkin Park on the Projekt Revolution 2008 Tour.
“Emotionally, I am very connected to music and I am very excited about sharing it with the audience.” The appointment is set for May 11 at the Palais Nikaïa!
