Friday, September 16th at 9:30 PM at Tour Bellanda – Nice
As part of the “Sustainable Development” initiative, historical monuments in Nice will be equipped with environmentally friendly lighting systems.
The Bellanda Tower benefits from this considered lighting policy and will be the first historical monument in Nice to be entirely equipped with a new system.
Thus, the Tower will shine “sustainably.”
On this occasion, all residents of Nice are invited to attend this illumination event.
In total, 31 new LED projectors will replace all the old traditional discharge lamp projectors. LED projectors have a lifespan of 15 years for decorative lighting, whereas traditional projectors need to be replaced approximately every 2 years. Furthermore, the energy consumption required for this new lighting will be halved.
This project has been successfully carried out collectively. The City of Nice installed the lighting, EDF financed it and provided its expertise, and the Philips company supplied the equipment.
Clad in its new dress of white, amber, and green light, the Bellanda Tower will also host an exhibition with panels presenting the history of the County of Nice and the House of Savoy.
Visits are possible from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 6 PM, on Saturday, September 16th, and Sunday, September 17th, during the European Heritage Days.
Thereafter, it will be possible to visit until the end of September from 2 PM to 5 PM. The visit is free.
