Éric Ciotti, José Cobos, David Lisnard, and Pascal Thiriot, the president of Azur Sport Organisation, presented the 10th Nice-Cannes marathon, scheduled for November 5.
The ninth edition was unique. The start will return, in 2017, to its rightful place on the Promenade des Anglais. This was announced by Azur Sport Organisation last Friday.
David Lisnard, mayor of Cannes and president of the Regional Tourism Committee, believes that this event is essential for the Côte d’Azur. Sport and tourism are inevitably linked in this region. The views and landscapes are incredible, with 95% of the route along the seafront.
This marathon is the second largest in France, after Paris. It has already hosted 110,000 runners over the past nine editions. The event is internationally recognized, thanks to the IAAF label obtained four years ago.
