From July 18 to August 11, 2024, Nice will be buzzing with the Nice Classic Festival!
A summer event in Nice, the Nice Classic Festival offers a rich and varied program. For its 7th edition, the festival will be held at venues in Nice such as the Cloister of the Monastery of Cimiez and the Auditorium of the Matisse Museum.
This year, the festival will welcome both French and international musicians. The audience will have the opportunity to discover classical works as well as creations by established talents and promising young artists.
Unmissable Events
The Nice Classic Festival will pay tribute to iconic figures in music like Gabriel Fauré, celebrating the centenary of his passing with the first violin sonata and the first quintet. The festival will also feature a lyrical evening with the future stars from Lorraine Nubar’s singing class.
Similarly, contemporary creation will be in the spotlight with two evenings dedicated to new works. The closing night will be particularly anticipated, with the presence of the legendary jazz trumpeter Randy Brecker, accompanied by saxophonist Pierre Bertrand and his band La Caja Negra.
To fully enjoy these musical moments, the festival will offer this year the chance to discover and taste local Nice specialties and regional wines between the two parts of the concerts, in the enchanting setting of the Monastery of Cimiez gardens.
