This Wednesday, June 29, 2011, from 10 AM to 6 PM at Place Garibaldi in Nice, the JCE Nice Côte d’Azur wishes to demonstrate that sustainable development is, above all, something local!
Many initiatives exist, and the city of Nice itself has, for several years, multiplied projects to enhance this awareness and has committed to “Agenda 21” to make the Niçoise territory exemplary in terms of sustainable development.
Thus, through the “Citizen Gardens” project, the Young Economic Chamber wishes to engage and promote local socio-economic actors, without whom sustainable development would not make sense.
This event will allow city dwellers to meet with local actors concerned about the environment. Through educational workshops and exhibitions, farmers, associations, exhibitors, and institutions will showcase to the Niçoise the various initiatives that make the Niçoise region aware of the richness of its nature.
With the name “Citizen Gardens,” the Young Economic Chamber of Nice Côte d’Azur aims to show that it is necessary to reconcile the environment and local engagement. That is why this event aims to involve and inspire Niçoise, young and old, to cultivate their gardens for the pleasure of taste or the pleasure of the eyes.
