Created by the European Commission, this label aims to reward the efforts of European cities to promote innovation and thus improve the quality of life for their citizens. Nice hopes to follow in the footsteps of the winning cities of the previous two editions: Barcelona and Amsterdam.
The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has placed innovation and sustainable development at the heart of its economic development strategy.
The initiatives undertaken in the territory regarding Smart City are numerous and have led the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis to strengthen its collaborations with major industrial groups, local SMEs, and start-ups, particularly those linked to the French Tech network, as well as with the world of research and education.
