The City of Nice, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, and the CCAS have pooled the management of their vehicle fleet for better resource management, which has allowed for the reduction of thermal vehicles in favor of electric vehicles, and for the systematic incorporation of an environmental dimension into fleet management, while raising awareness among all drivers about eco-driving.
To further support this initiative and set an example, the City of Nice, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, and the CCAS have, as part of this framework, acquired electric vehicles to replace aging and energy-intensive thermal vehicles, starting in 2010.
Today, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis continues its commitment and will replace its fleet of 40 thermal scooters with electric scooters. Following a call for tenders, it is a French manufacturer based in Grasse, ECCITY Motocycles, that won the contract thanks to the performance of its 100% electric scooter, which has a top speed of 100 km/h and a range of 100 km.
