Committed to sustainable development and the preservation of the environment, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis is once again supporting the “Ecogestes Méditerranée” campaign aimed at sea users this year.
The goal is to encourage sea users to adopt practices that respect the marine environment in order to protect the Mediterranean coastline, home to a wide diversity of habitats and plant and animal species.
To achieve this, Ecogestes ambassadors will meet with boaters at sea or in ports to discuss their practices and offer suggestions for improvement.
The topics covered will include: waste sorting, respectful anchoring, eco-labeled cleaning products, wastewater collection, and recreational fishing regulations.
