The cuisine of Nice is in the spotlight. 25 establishments in Nice and the Metropolis have received the label, a diploma, and a plaque in the categories “Restaurants” and “Snacks and Takeaway”.

The goal of this recognition is to safeguard, promote, and perpetuate Niรงoise cuisine.

Nice, the 5th largest city in France and the 2nd largest international tourist destination, possesses a rich history. Its Niรงoise cuisine is a reflection of this.

The label “cuisine nissarde, respect for tradition,” managed by Nice’s Tourism and Convention Office (OTCN), allows restaurateurs to maintain a level of excellence in all areas, offering better quality, service, and enjoyment.

Through this recognition and the “Cuisine Nissarde” label, the OTCN highlights establishments that:
– respect traditional recipes,
– are committed to the heritage and history of Niรงoise cuisine,
– offer quality cuisine and hospitality.

These labeled restaurateurs commit to following recipes, considering the quality of products, having knowledge of Niรงoise history and heritage, complying with hygiene and safety regulations, and displaying the plaque attesting their labeling on their storefront.

The label received can be withdrawn from restaurants that do not meet the awarding criteria.
