Le Coquinou returns once again to the Théâtre de l’Eau Vive in Nice.

Latest News

His last appearance in Nice and on the French Riviera was a great success, and after a journey that took him from Lyon to Marseille via Libreville and Chambéry, Vincent Piguet returns to a Nice stage from December 8th to 11th. An extraordinary One Man Show that combines comedy, dance, and singing in an astonishing scenario where it’s not so easy to tell the true from the false!

So Vincent, is the Coquinou returning to the French Riviera again?

Yes, I can’t be without you anymore. I missed such a warm and physically pleasant audience. Perhaps I’m exaggerating a bit, right? Seriously, it’s a real pleasure to return to Nice and especially to the Théâtre de l’Eau Vive where my 2010 performance was highly successful. So I’m coming back to get a dose of Mediterranean laughter.

So what’s new since last year?

My show has matured, and the dates have been rolling in, from Paris to Corsica, passing through Lyon, Chambéry, Macon, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, etc. I even went to perform in Libreville, GABON. It was a superb experience that showed me my humor could touch other cultures, as it was a true Triumph at the equator. It was fantastic.

I also just won the Risoul mountain humor festival as well as the Cabasse festival in the Var.
So a very beautiful year 2011.

Perhaps a spot on Ruquier’s show in the coming weeks?

Indeed, the show “On n’demande qu’à en rire” broadcast on France 2 at 6 p.m. has selected me. I am just waiting for their green light to record the sketch on the subject they will impose on me. I can’t wait.

And otherwise, any other projects in the pipeline for the Coquinou?

I plan to do the Avignon festival next summer, in April or May I’ll return to GABON to create a humor festival for local talents, and finally, on March 31, I will participate in the Nuit de l’Humour at the Zénith in Toulouse in front of 7500 people with Cartouche, Titoff, and other comedians to conclude the Printemps du Rire 2012.

And to finish, what would you say to the people of Nice to entice them to come and see your show?

I would say that they are going to have a unique evening because it is not a comedy One Man Show like the others. While laughing, they will dive into a real mystery play where they won’t know what is true or false. The whole thing punctuated with dance and singing.

It’s a beautiful show, well put together, and very original. I am very proud of it.
