The Regional Council chaired by Christian Estrosi (LR) approved a budget described as a “shift in direction” compared to previous terms. A provisional budget of 2.063 billion euros, down by 42.5 million euros, was adopted by the majority despite opposition from Front National elected officials.
Always pleased with himself, Regional President Christian Estrosi said: “I am delighted with the first budget @regionpaca that has just been voted to improve the daily lives of its inhabitants. The Region is back!”
On behalf of the opposition, Amaury Navarranne in his speech tried to “tear him down” with a vehement critique, referring to the policy of “small holes” and describing Christian Estrosi as “a marked S for indebtedness.”
As advanced by the Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi during the last Municipal Council, the Regional Contract for Territorial Balance (2016 – 2018) between the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region (President Christian Estrosi) and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis (President Christian Estrosi) provides for an allocation of 50 million euros to be used to fund the construction of the 40-meter road (future line 3 of the tramway).
Indeed, as former deputy Christian Estrosi said, the law on the accumulation of mandates is stupid: isn’t it much easier to settle things between oneself?
