Letter from Mayor Estrosi
“Another step has been taken and I am pleased,” says the mayor of Nice. “This transfer is an ambitious project that will provide our farmers and wholesalers with an efficient and innovative agri-food platform, more respectful of the environment. It is a priority for me, as I have just launched our Territorial Food Project, which aims, among other things, to secure the food supply for the inhabitants of the Metropolis, to allow our local agriculture to sustain, develop sustainably, and innovate.”
“This transfer of the MIN is accompanied by an agricultural and land policy that protects our agricultural lands, enhances wastelands, and establishes new farms to develop short supply chains. The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis is committed to a 21st-century agriculture that meets the expectations of citizens and climate challenges while reinventing models that consider the role of local farmers and their fair remuneration. The future MIN d’Azur is fully in line with this policy.”
