The producers from the Maralpine region won twelve medals at the 2025 General Agricultural Competition, including seven gold medals. Their expertise and the quality of their products were honored at the International Agricultural Show.
Producers from the Alpes-Maritimes were awarded during the 2025 General Agricultural Competition. Twelve medals, including seven gold, recognize the quality and craftsmanship of the department’s farmers.
Twenty-six Maralpine producers traveled to the International Agricultural Show in Paris. Through their products, they represented the diversity and richness of local agriculture. Their commitment was acknowledged with the earning of twelve medals, a result that reflects the vitality of the sector.
“The International Agricultural Show is a unique showcase for our farmers. This 2025 edition is a wonderful opportunity to promote our terroir, our traditions, and the innovation shaping the agriculture of tomorrow. It is an honor to see the Alpes-Maritimes shine on the national stage thanks to the talent and dedication of these passionate men and women,” stated Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy, president of the Alpes-Maritimes Department.
Olive oil and white wine from Nice in the spotlight
The awards cover several product categories. In aperitifs and liqueurs, Maison du Citron from Menton won two gold medals for its organic yuzu liqueurs and Menton citron IGP, as well as a silver medal for Menton Cรดte Citron limoncello. In jams, Maison Herbin received two silver medals. In the honey sector, Jean-Louis Lautard earned two gold medals for his productions from Tignet. In olive products, Les Sept Collines and รtienne Faxel were recognized for their Nice AOP olive oils. Maison Nicolas Alziari also received a silver medal in the category French olive oil – green fruity. Finally, Domaine Saint-Jean, based in Nice, stood out by winning a gold medal for its 2023 vintage white wine and a bronze medal for its red wine from the same year.
The Alpes-Maritimes Department aims to support farmers in the face of climatic and economic challenges. It dedicates more than 4 million euros per year to assist producers, develop short supply chains, and promote sustainable agriculture.
This 2025 edition of the Agricultural Show confirmed the standing of the Alpes-Maritimes on the map of agricultural excellence territories. Maralpine producers continue their commitment to local, authentic, and innovative agriculture.
