Since the launch of the first consultation regarding the construction of a mosque in Nice and with the recent publication concerning the choice of a candidate for the upcoming municipal elections, numerous emails and phone calls have motivated us to provide some clarification on this matter.
First of all, it is simply a public consultation that is subject to certain security rules in order to not distort the results. Indeed, it is not possible to vote twice with the same IP address, and we have also placed a cookie on each voter’s computer, thus limiting the number of votes to one per person.
Certainly, a few clever tech-savvy individuals might manage to vote multiple times, but this still requires certain manipulations that are not accessible to everyone.
What particularly struck us during the online posting for the municipal consultation was the massive sending of emails encouraging voting, initiated by some candidates on this list, whom we will not name out of ethical concerns they did not have but who will recognize themselves since we have sent them correspondence upon receiving their email. Unfortunately for them, we are on their electronic mailing list.
The entire Nice Première team has of course given their opinion, but did so only once, and we sincerely hope that each of our “reader voters” will have the honesty to do the same in order not to distort what is, we remind you, just a simple public consultation.
Thank you to the many voters who have participated and who contribute daily to the life of Nice Première, and here’s wishing you and your loved ones an excellent end of the year.
