This Thursday, February 6, Rudy Salles, Deputy, Deputy Mayor in charge of Tourism, accompanied by Denis Zanon, Director of the Tourism and Convention Office, solemnly announced the results of the election of the 2014 Carnival Queen at the Nice Carnival House.
It is finally Angรฉline, the young law student, who is the 2014 Carnival Queen. Alongside her, Laurine, an 18-year-old high school student, and Alexia, 23, who works in communication and events, settled for the second and third places in this election.
This year, there was significant participation with 21,000 votes from almost all over the world (117 countries), and the majority being European (France, Italy, United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, Monaco).
And other votes, from more distant places, came from Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Australia, and even Thailand, totaling over a hundred countries. This enormous mobilization was facilitated by social networks, with notably 135,000 page views on Facebook and Twitter, and 25,000 views on YouTube.
The brand new 19-year-old Queen wins a one-year contract with the Enjoy Models agency, a photo book, and a trip to Naples for two people with Air France.
She will represent the Nice carnival for a year, starting on Friday, February 14 at 8:30 PM, her role as an ambassador during the arrival of the King: โI feel good in the theme, I think it’s my place because I am a fine gastronome,โ she confided to us.
Like at the beginning of every good relationship, the King and Queen share a “gastronomic” common point!
