WILMA GLEDHILL, a South American artist living in Antibes, presents her exhibition and her work:
“I am in the school of my feelings. My numerous travels inevitably bring me closer to ancient civilizations, which set the rhythm of my artistic journey. Painting and sculpture blend in earthy tones, coppery or multicolored. The very expression of my staging evokes the nourishing Mother Earth.
Painting my reliefs, sculpting my paintings, so that volumes and colors come together, contrasts are enhanced, and the mixture of materials brings the past closer to the future.”
She champions ARTMERINDIEN, where pantheism and lyricism intertwine brilliantly in her work. Tales, Myths, and Legends merge with a reality both raw and simple, extracted from the sober and profound universe of Native Americans.
