The Feast of the Assumption, the sailors’ festival, will be celebrated as every year at the port of Nice in the presence of the Mayor of Nice and other authorities.
Despite the constraints due to the health situation, the program has been maintained in its entirety.
It will start at 5:30 PM with the promenade of pointus in the basin and musical entertainment by pianist Steve Villa-Massone.
At 5:45 PM, the procession will begin towards Entrecasteaux Quay with the parade of flower-adorned pointus in the Lympia and Admirals’ basin, followed by a blessing and boarding on the pointus by the priest, officials, and elected representatives.
At 6:30 PM, an open-air Mass will be celebrated on Entrecasteaux Quay, after which the procession will head back towards the Notre-Dame du Port church.
