On March 26, 2011, the Tranchant Casino in Pougues-les-Eaux (2 hours south of Paris) will host the next edition of the Grandes Ecoles Poker Tour (GEPT), the first student poker tournament in France, organized by the Skema Poker Club.

The Skema Poker Club is a student association based at Skema Business School Sophia Antipolis (a merger of Ceram de Nice-Sophia Antipolis and ESC Lille). This association was established in 2008 with the aim of promoting and democratizing poker among students.

The GEPT is a national event as it brings together students from universities, business schools, and engineering schools across France such as HEC, Polytechnique, Centrales, EDHEC, or Sciences Po, to name just a few of the most well-known.

Qualifying tournaments were previously organized in each school by student councils or poker associations to select the finalists. They will meet for the GEPT final in Pougues-les-Eaux to compete for a sum close to 15,000 euros.
