The ski instructors are holding their conference in Nice: the Villa Masséna will be the venue for the “red sweaters” award ceremony.

Latest News

The National Ski Instructors’ Union, for the fourth time after the 2010, 2015, and 2016 conferences, has chosen the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis area to host its annual meeting.

On this occasion, we mark the departure of Gilles Chabert, after 24 years as the president of the National Ski Instructors’ Union.

The presentation of the red sweaters, a symbol since 1958 of the identity of the French ski instructor, followed by the awarding of numbered medals to the graduates of the “Bernard TROMBERT” class, including Nice native Nastasia Noëns, will take place at 6 p.m. at Villa Masséna.

With 17,000 instructors, 250 ski schools in France, and the historic record of 593 new graduates this year, the French Ski School represents a true economic force: 240 million euros in revenue, 1 million children trained each year, 2,000 administrative jobs, and 3,500 trainees.
