Yesterday in Valberg, the first departmental center for COVID-19 antigen tests opened its activity*. This was an opportunity to launch the testing campaign for skiing school staff, ski lift operators, restaurateurs, municipal agents, and the tourist office.
The Valberg resort thus has 600 tests and protective equipment. Four other departmental centers will open in the coming days in La Colmiane, Auron, Isola, and Gréolières.*
The Department has ordered 50,000 antigen tests intended for mountain resorts to be able to test, at least five times, each person in contact with the public.
This is good news for mountain professionals, artisans, restaurateurs, and shopkeepers who are mobilized to welcome tourists and visitors while strictly adhering to the health protocol.
“We are putting everything in place to support the economic sector that is suffering and bring some relief to mountain stakeholders,” said Charles-Ange Ginésy, president of the Departmental Council, present on site.
