In order to continue improving the public transport service and to better meet the needs of TER users, the Sud Region organized meetings in several stations throughout the regional territory yesterday, including Nice.
A stand was set up for the occasion in the Departure Hall of Nice station to welcome travelers who wanted, as daily users, to discuss their travel conditions, habits, and constraints. They could also share their comments and suggestions on the various rail service redevelopment projects.
The Region indeed wishes to continue improving the TER service on the Cรดte dโAzur lines. Among the projects presented to travelers:
- Increasing the number of trains between Cannes and Grasse (43 instead of 39) and between Cannes and Les Arcs (19 instead of 16).
-
Infrastructure works and multimodal interchange hubs.
-
Improving accessibility at Nice-Riquier station and carrying out studies to improve accessibility on the platforms at Beaulieu, Carnolรจs, and Villefranche-sur-Mer.
-
Developing interchange hubs at Cagnes-sur-Mer, Nice Saint-Augustin, and Menton stations.
After Toulon and Nice, the stations in Marseille, Gap, and Avignon will host these meetings.
